It’s been a while since I’ve mucked around with Photoshop. After having had tea with Corey and Donna and with a belly laden with cheap sushi, I was tempted to have a look at some of the digital black and white photos I had taken with my Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ-10 this past winter while wandering Edmonton. I blame what you are about to see on possible poisoning from fish transported this far from the sea.
In the first instance, I grabbed the photo of Corey’s eye and blended it with a very specific fall photo I had also taken last year. The point was to create a very stark image of an eye staring out of the woods. It is meant to conjure up a feral image with the eye flecked with gold. Moreso the stark tree extending from either side of the eye should enhance the spikey nature of the eyelashes… hmmm methinks Corey is starting to remind me of Sauron…
The second photo blends Corey and Donna’s salt shaker with the Edmonton skyline and also the stark buildings and trees. This one is much less sinister. Not that Corey is sinister. At least I don’t think he is. Then again…
