One Saturday morning I drove off to help my friend Meghan move from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan back to Edmonton, Alberta. In the car was her fiance Darcy and her friend Kim. All was going well until we stopped in Lloydminster (which straddles the Alberta/Saskatchewan border) so I could take photos of the border demarkation pillars. Suddenly Darcy notices a plume of black smoke and the acrid smell of burning rubber. Without a moment to lose we ran off towards it (errr not the brightest of lads were we) and found a burning car... and we watched the drama unfold... Excitement, Lloydminster style...
