Album Notes
Over the past couple of years it seems to have become my custom to visit my friends Ray and Lisa in Kelowna over the Easter break. This year it was particularly important - Ray and Lisa, with whom I had moved out west and away from Newfoundland, were moving back home. I envy their homecoming and miss their friendship nearby.
It was also my first opportunity to see the Okanagan, and indeed British Columbia, after the disasterous fire season of 2003. In some of my other albums I've taken photos of this same Okanagan Mountain Park area (See my Fall Okanagan colours album). Now all is desolate. A blackened landscape, crumbling and dry.
